Finding Calm

Ways of finding calm

Finding calm is difficult sometimes. Keep reading to find out a podcast which can help you get there.

As you know, I’m a huge fan of podcasts. Mostly, I listen while crocheting. Unlike TV, I don’t have to worry about watching something while I’m concentrating on my latest project. (We finally started watching Downton Abbey, by the way. I can assure you that trying to crochet while keeping up with everything on that show is challenging.)

Anyway, in addition to listening while doing hobbies, podcasts are also great when working around the house or when you’re traveling. One of my favorite genres is “living your best life” sorts of podcasts. “10% Happier” with host, Dan Harris, is a great one. I found another one called “Good Life Project”.

A recent Good Life Project episode, called “7 Ways to Find Calm | Kickstart 2023”, was excellent. Here is the link.  When I’m stressed, I have several tools in my toolbox for calming down. This podcast was a great reminder of stuff I already knew but forgot. It was also a reminder about practices that really help me feel better. My focus at work is on women with anxiety/depression or just plain old stress. I thought you might find some of these 7 practices useful – things like breathing and journaling. Finding calm may be easier than you think with these practices.

I hope you’ll listen and let me know what you think!

I am back in the office Friday and do have massage openings in the next couple of weeks. Would love to see you. You can always schedule by texting me at 972.813.9083 or you can schedule yourself here if you’re an established client.
